I made Louisville home in 1983 graduating from Lake Erie College with a degree in Equine Studies and Photojournalism and moving to Kentucky from Maryland. I turned my passion and adoration of everything equine into my career, loving each “day at the office” and the opportunities I found in this amazing city. Teaching, travelling, competing, and training with the best in the world allowed me to make the acquaintances and understand the business of “horses”.
I acquired my real estate license in 2008, after having purchased several rental houses through Wakefield Reutlinger and being quite fascinated with the real estate industry. I realized I could combine my love of farms, houses and interaction with people into a second career. Having a broad knowledge of the area, my connections and a practical understanding of houses and farms made the transition easy. The amazing group at Wakefield has become my family and been incredibly supportive as we all strive to create the absolute best experience that we can for our clients.
Through the last 9 years, I have helped first time home buyers fulfill their dream of homeownership. I have walked countless acres with clients and helped pass family farms to the next generation. I have worked with investors, clients wishing to look out their window and see their horses, and those ready to put their beloved farm into new hands. I understand the emotion and challenges we face as we buy and sell property, and I work hard to make the journey as stress free and articulate as I can.
I stay very connected to the horse world. I manage properties and farms, including Flying Cross Farm in Goshen, home of a nationally recognized horse trials and host to many clinics and competitions throughout the year. I consult and facilitate farm building projects, manage the day-to-day running of the farms, and everything farm related. I travel and teach clinics, and still teach at my farm in Skylight, Alta Vista.
Louisville and the people that make it the remarkable place it is, have been incredibly good to me - I try to “give back” by serving on boards and volunteering. I make greenspace, education, social justice and horses my priorities. In my “free time” I love to work on houses, travel, make furniture, and enjoy my grandkids.
