Claire Alagia’s priority is people. Real estate, for her, isn’t just about buying or selling a house, it’s getting to know her clients and helping them achieve their goals.
As a Louisville native and longtime community and business leader, Claire brings unparalleled knowledge and experience to her clients. Claire entered the real estate profession after a long and successful career as CEO of Bittners, the city’s premier interior design firm, where she learned the importance of building relationships and providing top-notch customer service. She also worked with a team of designers who created dream homes daily, and learned what it is people want in a home. Claire has taken those lessons to real estate, where she can combine three of her favorite things: Louisville, homes, and helping people. Clients become friends and Claire becomes a go-to resource throughout the buying or selling process and beyond. Whether it’s helping a new resident with a car lease or recommending contractors for a kitchen remodel, Claire is happy to help long after closing papers are signed.
In addition to representing local clients, Claire enjoys sharing her knowledge about neighborhoods, schools and community resources to help newcomers transition seamlessly to their new Kentucky homes.
Claire is a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy, University of Kentucky, Leadership Louisville, Leadership Louisville's Bingham Fellows and Leadership Kentucky. She serves on a number of boards including the Louisville Community Foundation, Leadership Kentucky, and the University of Louisville Board of Overseers. Previous community service includes Greater Louisville Inc. Executive Committee (Chamber of Commerce), Bellarmine University Trustees, Ursuline/Sacred Heart Trustees, Trinity High School Trustees, Jefferson County Foundation and Louisville Preservation Foundation. Her community service was recently recognized at the Salute to Catholic School Alumni.
When she’s not helping clients, Claire enjoys playing golf on Louisville’s many beautiful courses, walking in the city’s renowned parks and watching college sports. She has two adult children and lives in Louisville with her husband, Creighton Mershon, Sr.
